Using Plasti Dip

Plasti Dip is an air-dry rubber coating.  Plasti Dip protective coating is ideal for a broad array of do-it-yourself projects around the home, garage, garden, and elsewhere. It protects coated items against moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion, and skidding/slipping, and provides a comfortable, controlled grip.

Lately it is most commonly known for dipping your car. Plasti Dip offers so much more. Along with Liquid Electrical Tape, Plasti Dip can be used to coat, seal, waterproof, protect, add colour and create solutions to many common problems.

Think of Plasti Dip like a liquid glove, When Plasti Dip is applied to almost anything, it dries quickly and shrinks to a perfect fit like a rubber glove, the final coat is flexible and removable, when applied to smooth surfaces like plastic, metal or glass.  Just make sure you apply at least four coats when spraying or brushing as it becomes stronger, more flexible with better protection.

When using Plasti Dip on metal, plastic or other surfaces you can increase adhesion up to 400% by using Plasti Dip primer. Our Plasti Dip Primer comes in grey or clear and is available in 500ml tins, 1 litre tins and 5 litre tins.
Always store Plasti Dip products in a cool dry place and after using Plasti Dip be sure the can is well sealed.

Plasti Dip is designed to dip products straight in to the paint tin, like art & craft projects, tool handles ect,.
You can also thin the Plasti Dip to apply with a brush or use in a spray gun.
Earlex supply an electric spray gun especially for Plast Dip or if you have an air compressor type spray gun this is usually fine. We sell a professional style Preval Sprayer for home use that is easy to use and sprays just about any liquid. It is priced at only € 8.00 and  I have used this myself to spray Plasti Dip on garden ornaments and it gives a professional finish to your project.

So when using Plasti Dip remember, what makes Plasti Dip work so well is adding several coats to your project. The more coats you apply, the stronger it becomes. It protects coated items against moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion, and skidding/slipping, and provides a comfortable, controlled grip, it also looks good as it comes in so many colours and enhancers. Plasti Dip remains flexible and over time, will not crack or become brittle in extreme weather conditions. It has been tested and proven in temperatures from -36°Celsius
